A STEP IN THE WRONG DIRECTION FOR CELLULAR 911 CALLS

As of January 1, 2016, in the Cities of Twinsburg, Hudson and Macedonia; the villages of Richfield, Northfield, Reminderville, Boston Heights and Peninsula; and in Sagamore, Boston and Richfield Townships, when you call 911 on your wireless device, your call will not go to your local dispatch center as it has for almost three decades. Instead, under a State of Ohio mandate, those calls will now be answered by a City of Stow dispatcher before being transferred to your dispatch center. This is a loss of service that has potentially life threatening consequences.
