Blast the From the Past: Summit County Jail escape, Akron, 1946

Photograph of the exterior of the Summit County Jail, which was located on South High Street in Akron, Ohio, after two prisoners escaped. The prisoners, who were suspected car thieves, escaped by sawing through a chain lock and climbing down the side of the building using blankets they tied together, as shown in the picture.
