Chamber Chatter 1-27-16

“SPEED NETWORKING”??? The popular NETWORKING MADNESS luncheon is back!  This ultimate POWER networking experience is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 9 at Spennato’s Italian Ristorante.  Registration begins at 11:15.  Admission is $15 for Chamber members, $20 for non-members.  Get to know 20+ different companies and they will get to know you.  You will be seated at a table of 6, give your presentation, listen to others and move to another table and do it all over again!  This is an “eat fast, talk fast” occasion.  Attendees who have not reserved a seat will be seated last.  So reserve your spot now by calling 330-467-8956.

There is PRIME booth space still available for the March 18 NHCOC Community Expo.  Raffles, entertainment, food court, and business displays – all under one roof (Nordonia High School) from 9-3:30.  This is a wonderful opportunity for our local businesses to show their newest products and offer “Expo specials” to the community.  Again last year, over 3,000 attended this one day event.  If you haven’t registered yet, it’s time!

Don’t miss this opportunity to build relationships with over 80+ other businesses and to promote your product or services to over 3,000 Expo attendees.  How long would it take you to pass out that many business cards?  More than one day, I’m sure!  Let us do the work for you.  With every booth you get a 6’ table, 2 chairs, back curtain, table covering and skirting, a listing on the Chamber web site and in the special section of the March 15 NewsLeader – even coffee and a doughnut to start your day and a Vendor’s Lounge to rest those feet!  If your business wants to be a part of this annual event, call the Chamber Office (330-467-8956) or check out the web site for specifics.  Register today and allow us to begin promoting your business.

Chick-fil-A Macedonia will be the sole provider for the Expo food court this year.  You’ll be able to purchase your favorite lunch items right in the high school cafeteria, from the friendly Chick-fil-A employees.  And for the Expo Vendors – a chance to put your feet up, away from the crowds.  The Teacher’s Lounge will morph into a Vendor’s Lounge for the day. We haven’t confirmed our sponsor yet, but at the very least we will offer you coffee, doughnuts and quiet!

Hats off to our 2017 Expo sponsors:  Gold – UH Ahuja, Nordonia Hills.News, Record Publishing and Nordonia Hills Schools; Silver – Medcalf Monroe Agency and Molon Labe CrossFit.  Here are the Bronze sponsors to date:  Loddo’s Tree Shrub Landscape Service, Don Basch Jewelers, and Petal Place Florist.   For a full list of Expo vendors, go to www.nordoniahillschamber.org.

The Scholarship committee, chaired by our own Young Professional Group, is collecting prizes for the 2017 Scholarship Raffle!  The Scholarship Pick-a-Prize Raffle will take place at our Annual Community EXPO, scheduled for 3:30, Saturday, March 18 at Nordonia High School.  We are asking for donations valued at $100 or more in goods or service and hope that you can help us.  Remember, by donating you will receive advertising and marketing for your business at no additional cost.  Your company’s name and your prize donation will be listed on the tickets.  Your name will also appear in our advertising and in the Chamber Chatter section in the newspaper.  For more information or to schedule a pick-up, contact Kristen Monroe Metcalf (330-285-3436, kristen.monroe@allstate.com). Prizes can be dropped off at the Chamber Office (159 E. Aurora, Northfield – lower level, rear of the Lake Pointe building) or the Medcalf Monroe Agency (140 E. Aurora Rd., Northfield 44067).
