The NHCOC Women in Business group is reaching out to help rape victims.  Many people don’t realize that nearly every article of clothing worn by a victim is taken for evidence in the emergency room.  The WiB group is providing a 2 hour Self-Defense/Rape Prevention workshop to raise awareness and funds to purchase new clothes for the victims.  The workshops are scheduled for May 21 at Molon Labe CrossFit (9100 Valley View Rd., Macedonia).  You can choose from the following time slots:  10:00, 12:30 and 3:00.  The cost is $20 per person.  The Self-Defense workshop is provided by Endeavor Defense and Fitness.  You can register at www.eventbrite.com.  Type in key words CARING CLOTHES and click on the event.

Interested in membership in the Nordonia Hills Chamber of Commerce?  Need to know about the membership you currently have? Plan to attend “Making the Most of Your Membership” on May 19 at 8:00 am at Chick-fil-A Macedonia.  Board members and current members will be available to answer all your questions.  Great networking AND breakfast.  Stop by to say hello and find out why joining this Chamber is the best business decision you’ll make this year.

Thank you to all the runners, cyclists, walkers and volunteers who made Duathlon 2016 another great race!  Event shirts were provided by Wild Bill Wagner, who also co-chairs this event.  Gift certificates donated by Fleet Feet Northfield were awarded to the top winners. Chick-Fil-A Macedonia, Dominos Sagamore Hills and Panera Bread provided after-race refreshments for racers and volunteers as well.  Goodie bags were donated by South Pointe Hospital.  Thank you also to our sponsors: South Pointe, Ferfolia Funeral Home, Sky Zone Boston Heights, and ComForCare Senior Services.  Race results can be found at Active.com.  We, as a community of businesses, host this event – as we have since 1996!!!  Thank you all for your support.
