County of Summit to Dedicate World War II Veterans Memorial

AKRON, OHIO—Summit County Executive Ilene Shapiro will host a World War II Veterans Memorial Dedication on Friday, November 9, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Summit County Courthouse Rotunda. The event will feature the dedication of plaques that were previously displayed at Memorial Hall on the University of Akron campus. The plaques contain the names of Summit County residents lost in World War II. They were recently installed outside the Summit County Courthouse. Summit County Fiscal Office staff will be present to offer veteran identification cards. The event is free and open to the public.
