Demonstration of Amazon Echo Dot’s Flash Briefing with NordoniaHills.News

By Julie D’Aloiso

There are so many ways to get the news these days. Back in the day, it was simple, TV, Radio and Newspaper were the main news distributors. Remember waiting for the 5:00 news? Well maybe some of you may not remember that but I do! All three of these media types have changed dramatically over the years. But that is not what this article is about.

Over the past 2 years, we have been providing the news online. We are now proud to announce that we have partnered with Amazon to bring you the headlines from NordoniaHills,News to your Amazon Alexa enabled devices!

See this in action here:

This is very timely, some would say, because Amazon sold an amazing amount of these devices other the holidays (see related article).

If you have an Amazon Firestick, or Echo. You can set it up so Alexa reads the headlines from many content providers.

Sure, it is not perfect. Alexa does not always pronounce things perfectly and she will sometimes just stop reading a sentence, but overall, I think this is a very nice feature.

You can control what you hear. See this article and this one too.

We will update the headlines every day (some times more than once a day depending on what is going on).

Of course this device does a ton more things than just read the headlines. I hope to do some more videos showing you how I use it to save time.

We are currently talking with Google to integrate with the Google Home devices also. Stay tuned for that!
