It came down to the wire on Saturday, with Nordonia Knights taking victory on a dramatic walk-off grand slam in the late innings that sealed their victory over Shaker Heights. The game was tied at six with Nordonia Knights batting in the bottom of the eighth when Mike Hamrick homered on a 0-1 count, scoring four runs.

Hamrick led Nordonia Knights to victory by driving in six runs. He went 3-for-4 at the plate.

Hamrick drove in runs on a home run in the sixth and a grand slam in the eighth.

Shaker Heights got things moving in the first inning, when #16 singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.

Nordonia Knights evened things up at six in the bottom of the sixth inning when Hamrick homered on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.

Zach Westbrooks was the winning pitcher for Nordonia Knights. He went two innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out three and walking zero. Tony Mellone threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.

#4 took the loss for Shaker Heights. He surrendered six runs on five hits over two innings.

Kyle Chonko started the game for Nordonia Knights. He went four and a third innings, allowing six runs on five hits and striking out one #15 started the game for Shaker Heights. He surrendered four runs on three hits over three and two-thirds innings, striking out three

Nordonia Knights hit two home run on the day. Hamrick had a four bagger in the sixth and eighth innings.

Nordonia Knights saw the ball well today, racking up 11 hits in the game. Hamrick, Nick Heiser, Joey Derusso, and Luke Jackson each had multiple hits for Nordonia Knights. Hamrick went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Nordonia Knights in hits. Nordonia Knights stole nine bases during the game as four players stole more than one. Hamrick led the way with two.

#1 led Shaker Heights with three hits in four at bats.
