How to help the people in need locally

For the month of October there are many events happening in town that will benefit the Emergency Assistance Center.

  1. The Nordonia Rotary will be collecting non-perishable items for the month of October.

2. During the entire month of October, the Nordonia Hills and Twinsburg City School districts will be competing to Fill the Bus with the most non-perishable food! Collection bins will be placed in each school building. More info here.

3. Nordonia Hills News is having a fundraiser called BOO-GIVING on Oct. 26th from 7-9 pm at Scoreboards. More info here.

In case you do not know, the local Emergency Assistance Center, here is some information from their website:

“The Emergency Assistance Center is a food pantry in Northfield, Ohio which serves 12 surrounding communities. We provide food, clothing, personal hygiene items, and seasonal support to our Northeast Ohio neighbors in need on a monthly basis. We are a network partner of the Akron Canton Regional Food Bank. Our center is an Accredited Charity of the Better Business Bureau by having met all 20 of their Standards for Charity Accountability. We have also been awarded the GuideStar USA Platinum Seal of Transparency. We are honored to be completely community funded and are humbled by the continued partnership of our community to help feed those families who need assistance putting food on their tables. ”
