Letter to the Editor: In response to “beware of ice cream truck drivers”

By Chrissie Groewa

After reading the “beware of ice cream truck drivers” (see Paul Buescher’s article here) article I wanted to take a minute to tell you about a local Nordonia Grad, Mark Negrelli (see Mark’s letter to the editor here). He is a local ice cream truck driver.  I met Mark when I hired him for our home  for a last day of school party when our kids were small. (He was amazing-complete in old fashioned uniform and all! I then went on to hire Mark at minimum once a year for the next several years as I was on school party committees and now helping with the high school fundraising events.

He has huge Nordonia Pride-he played in the band.  His DJ services and ice cream truck have always been professional.  He has gone out of his way every single time we hired him to give us an amazing deal and outstanding service.

This article-while it didn’t name him-or anyone for that matter-I feel was an injustice to someone like Mark.  He has truly suffered because of this article and it is not right.

We are always talking about supporting our local small businesses and then we let a trustee print slander?? I am appalled that this was allowed to happen and  stand behind Mark 100%.

How dare a trustee bash one of our own that has given so much.

Thank you,

Chrissie Groewa
