INDIA FOOD FAIR 2019

Macedonia, Ohio (May 18, 2019) – St. Gregorios Indian Orthodox Church located in Macedonia, Ohio is pleased to officially announce the details of the 2nd “India Food Fair” 2019 (“Festival”), scheduled to take place on July 27th at 1252 East Aurora Road, Macedonia, Ohio. This festival celebrates Indian cuisine and culture by highlighting a broad variety of Indian food, local dance forms, music, art, crafts, and games at the event. This fair was also conceptualized to provide a platform to fundraise for our charitable endeavours, for multi-ethnic groups to interact and for the local population to experience Indian culture up close.

India Food Fair 2019 is the largest eco-friendly “Zero-Waste” festival in Ohio catering to more than 3500 guests. There will be no use of disposable single-use plastics and polystyrene (Styrofoam) and all plates, cups and utensils will be fully compostable. It is a kid, pet and family friendly general community event where vendors (food and non-food) set up stalls, display and sell their merchandise. Festival-goers will have a unique opportunity to choose from an amazing variety of authentic Indian food, art and jewellery in the backdrop of traditional Indian music, dance performances and a host of other entertainment. Admission and parking to the event is free of charge. India Food Fair 2019 is a single day event starting at 1 pm (Saturday afternoon) on July 27th and ends at 8 pm. About the organizers:

St. Gregorios Malankara (Indian) Orthodox Church of Cleveland, Ohio is a congregation of Indian Orthodox Christians. We are in communion with all the Oriental Orthodox Churches and has been serving Orthodox Christians from Cleveland, Akron, Cincinnati, Columbus, Youngstown, and the Pittsburgh areas for more than 20 years now. We have been permanently based in Macedonia, Ohio for 5 years now. We are a group of young motivated individuals and families who aspire to make a positive change in our community and the world by helping the less fortunate around us. The church has been instrumental in community outreach by engaging and helping migrant families, distributing food, clothing and other essentials to the poor, feeding the hungry through our local NGO’s and also supporting children with free education. St. Gregorios Malankara (Indian) Orthodox Church is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, non-profit organization.
