Letter to the Editor from Kevin Bilkie

At last night’s City of Macedonia Special Council meeting, we approved legislation that will hire Specialized Construction Inc. (a road paving company) to pave and repair $1.65 million worth of roads later this year and early next year.

This is the start of Macedonia’s funded Road Maintenance Program, which will also allow for money each year for Preventative Measures, that will continually better the roads that currently don’t need paved.

In spring of 2018, the Mayor is already planning to bid out more road repair and paving projects.

A list of roads that are slated for repair is on the city’s website; http://www.macedonia.oh.us/roads-to-be-paved-in-2017/

Thank you for your patience, but rest assured, each year there will be money earmarked for road maintenance, paving and repair, and this city will never have its streets fall into such a deplorable state again.
