Local Church Offers Grief Support Group

Faith Fellowship Church on Valley View Road is hosting a 13-week program for anyone experiencing grief due to the loss of a loved one.

After the funeral, when the cards and flowers have stopped coming, most of the people around you return to their normal lives but your grief continues and you feel alone.

The loss of a loved one is devastating and life-changing. And because every relationship is different, grief is uniquely personal and no one grieves the same. And no matter what family and friends say to try to comfort you, the sadness and loneliness is still there.

There is help. GriefShare is a network of 15,000+ churches worldwide which are equipped to offer grief support groups. The program is nondenominational and features biblical concepts for healing from your grief. Our group at Faith Fellowship is led by caring people who have experienced grief and have successfully rebuilt their lives. We understand how you feel because we’ve been in the same place. We will walk with you on the path through grief toward healing and hope for the future.

We will be meeting on 13 consecutive Saturday mornings beginning August 31. Our final session will be held on Saturday, November 23 with a session on Surviving the Holidays.
