Many people in this area are happier now. Why? Hallmark has arrived in Macedonia Commons! They opened near the end of January and are located in between Five Below and Claire’s. We had a conversation with the owner, Douglas Dorsch and were pleasantly surprised to hear that the store has a mascot: Lileigh the 6.5 year old sheepdog (pictured to the right). In fact Lileigh, presides over all of the Ohio stores. The closest locations to the Macedonia store are in Twinsburg and Stow.

The Hallmark mission (to quote their website), “is to provide a friendly and inviting shopping environment to our customers who will find affordable, high-quality gifts, home accents, & greeting cards for every special occasion & need.”

More products are still being added to the store. Stop in to see what they have to offer. They rotate items around the store, so if you visit a week later you might find new items. And since the Macedonia store is new, many products are added on a regular basis.

The Lileigh’s Hallmark in Twinsburg was originally Betty’s Hallmark until Betty retired. Betty also had at one time a location in Northfield Village. Lileigh’s Macedonia Hallmark is the owner’s 10th store and has plans to work with the community in many ways with special events and upcoming products that benefit local charities. The Macedonia location was chosen based on demographics of our growing area. There might be more stores added to Ohio in the coming years.

So stop in and see what they have to offer. Maybe it will make you happy too! And while you are there pick up something for your valentine.
