Macedonia Finance Committee 12-1-16

Macedonia Mayor Joe Migliorini had these comments after the Macedonia Finance meeting Thursday Night 12-2-16.

“Basically Thursday’s meeting was to deal with the temporary 2017 first quarter budget and appropriation if you will. The picture however was painted that I will have a $1.5 million carryover, which was due to the fact that this administration did not do any expenditures, either minor or major, due to the fact that we did not know what our income tax collection would be into 2016, which, by the way is down by $200,000. Sylvia Hanneken still does not have any answers and or recommendations that would take care of infrastructure needs that are greater than $20 million. We have a fleet of pick up trucks that will cost us approximately $200,000 to purchase and we have a grade all at a cost of $300,000 in addition to the need of a new service garage where we can shelter all of our equipment. We also talked about the operating costs of the Macedonia Recreation center which will be short by $400,000 by 2018 for operating costs.”
