If you have not visited the Macedonia Walmart lately you should notice some changes inside and out.  The store has now completed a 2.6 million dollar re-model project.

Walmart is constantly competing with Amazon and they seem to be holding their own.

Some of the changes to the Macedonia location:

  • updated technology
  • news interior and exterior signage
  • renovated flooring
  • reorganized the store for better flow
  • new shelving in some grocery sections
  • new equipment for the associates that work there

Some employees that we talked to, expressed the feeling that there is a now a fresh start. New equipment and tools can help them do their job more efficiently.

The American Legion Nordonia Hills | Post 801 honor guard was on hand to present the flags.

Walmart Store manager Ariko Jackson thanked the associates, for the hard work and recognized employees at the store that have been Walmart Associates for 20 years or more.

Walmart presented a check for $1,000 to the American Legion Post 801 for the Nordonia Veterans Memorial Park fundraising campaign.

Walmart presented a check for $2,500 to the Macedonia Police and Fire Department.

The Nordonia Hills Chamber of Commerce assisted with teh ribbon cutting to make it even more offical! And surprisingly, one cut did the trick!
