On Tuesday July 30th, the Nordonia Football team attended the Play Football High School Day hosted by the NFL.

The Play Football High School Day included local area high school football teams, including Nordonia. The NFL representatives spoke with the players in an effort to educate on NFL Way to Play fundamentals, all the while instilling the values playing football brings on and off the field.

The NFL Way to Play shows the league’s commitment to promoting proper playing technique across all levels of football. Through the lens of the best in the game – current players, NFLLegends and head coaches – the initiative highlights proper technique, shares best practices and showcases the NFL Way to Play.

Launched at the 2019 NFL Draft, the NFL Legends Youth Advisory Committee assists and guides efforts to preserve and grow youth and high school football through peer-to-peer engagement.

The NFL’s Play Football initiatives provide a fun and engaging experience for players of all ages and skill levels, equipping young people with vital, transferable life skills that are building blocks to success in life on and off the field.

Former Browns players LeCharles Bentley and Steve Sanders, and NFL Legends Youth Advisory Committee member Chad Pennington kicked off Hall of Fame week at McKinley High School on Tuesday.
