From Gamechanger: Friday was a long day for Nordonia Knights Varsity, falling to Green 8-1. Green knotted the game up at one in the bottom of the third inning. A sacrifice bunt by Andrego scored one run for Green. Green pulled away for good with one run in the fourth inning. In the fourth Schaefer singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run. Green scored three runs in the sixth inning. The offensive onslaught by Green was led by #5 and #16, all knocking in runs in the inning. Hammer toed the rubber for Green. She surrendered one run on five hits over seven innings, striking out seven. Hallie Majoros toed the rubber for Nordonia Knights Varsity. She lasted four and two-thirds innings, allowing nine hits and five runs while striking out two. Rachel Cornett threw one and one-third innings in relief. Nina Christley, Majoros, Kendall Becker, Cornett, and Lexi Maciejowski all had one hit to lead Nordonia Knights Varsity. Green tallied 11 hits in the game. Collinsworth, Schaefer, and Torres each had multiple hits for Green. Collinsworth went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Green in hits.
