Baby Time is Thursdays, January 10 – January 24 at 10:15 a.m. It features books, bounces, songs, and bubbles followed by a play time for children 24 months and younger with a parent or caregiver.
Story Time is Thursdays, January 10 – January 24 at 11:30 a.m. for children ages 2-5. It features stories, rhymes, music, and bubbles followed by play time.
After School Club
After School Club is one Wednesday per month, for children in Kindergarten through 4th grade. On Wednesday, January 9 at 4 p.m., make a penguin water bottle craft.
Interested in candid, thought-provoking conversation? Join your fellow patrons at the Socrates Café, an informal adult discussion that takes place each month here at the library. The Cafe opens on Wednesday, January 9 at 6:30 p.m. 16 & over, please.

The Magic of the Balalaika

Teens Do Something
This is a great way for students in 5th through 12th grades to volunteer. We will meet one Saturday a month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to do a different type of project. Please contact us for more details. Saturday, January 12.

Writers’ Guild of Nordonia Hills
Writers wanted! New writers and old hands welcome: fiction, nonfiction, and everything in between. Have your work critiqued and give feedback to others in a fun and friendly environment. Up, Up and Away! Launching Your Early Learner
Come out and see us Saturday, January 19 from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon at Northfield Elementary. Parents with Children ages 0-4 are invited to join Nordonia Hills City Schools to learn more about preparing your child for kindergarten. Meet with local preschool providers, Nordonia kindergarten teachers and a variety of early childhood resources. There will be hands-on activities for children. Free breakfast will be provided. The library will be at the Up, Up, and Away! Launching your Early Learner event as a community resource.
Nordonia Hill Game Time
Join our regular gaming “meet-up” each month for patrons who enjoy board games, cards, chess, role-playing, war games, and collectible card games. The next meet-up will be on Saturday, January 19, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Join fellow local players – Sharpen your intellect – Enjoy the social aspects of games. Refreshments served. Join our program for families of all ages! One Monday a month at 6:30 p.m., we’ll get together for some great crafts. On Monday, February 11, create animal-shaped valentine cards.
Grab your crocheting/knitting needles and yarn and stitch the evening away. Join us the second Tuesday of each month for crocheting/knitting tips, friendship, advice and more. Refreshments will be served. Tuesday, February 12, 6-8 p.m.
Paws for Reading
Read a book to Edmund, a certified therapy dog. Bring a book or read one of ours! This is a great way for children to practice their literacy skills and gain more confidence in reading aloud. Children of all ages are welcome. Tuesday, February 12 at 6:30 p.m.
Cookies and Conversation
