Summer Food Drive
In partnership with The Emergency Assistance Center of Northfield, the Library is hosting a summer food drive for the month of July. Canned and boxed foods (non-expired) are requested. Drop off donations in the Library lobby. July 2 – 31.
Coffee & Conversation Book Discussion

Teen Mini Makerspace
For students going into grade 5 and up. Thursdays at 2 p.m. .

Raptors Up Close
Join the Ohio Bird Sanctuary for an educational, up close, live bird of prey presentation! All ages welcome. Registration is suggested. Saturday, July 14, 2:30 p.m.

Join couponing expert and blogger, Rachel Krych, as she presents Couponing 101. This fun and interactive class is great for beginners as well as those who have been couponing for a few years. This class covers many different topics such as: where to get coupons, how to organize them, where & how to stack coupons, and how to save money at local stores. Wednesday, July 18, 6 p.m.
Writers’ Guild of Nordonia Hills
Writers wanted! New writers and old hands welcome: fiction, nonfiction, and everything in between. Have your work critiqued and give feedback to others in a fun and friendly environment. Please bring a sample of your work to share. Light snacks provided. Meets the third Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. The next meeting will be on Wednesday, July 18.
Yoga for Kids
Join Nirvana Yoga for some yoga fun. Ages 2-7. Registration is appreciated. Thursdays, July 19, and August 16, 11 a.m.
Nordonia Hills Game Time
Join our regular gaming “meet-up” each month for patrons who enjoy board games, cards, chess, role-playing, war games, and collectible card games. The next meet-up will be on Saturday, July 21, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Join fellow local players – Sharpen your intellect – Enjoy the social aspects of games. Refreshments served. Teens Do Something
This is a great way for students going into 5th through 12th grades to volunteer. We will meet every other Monday from 2 to 3:30 p.m. to do a different type of project. Some of the projects we will work on: making busy bags for Akron Children’s Hospital, cards for shut-ins, and jobs around the library. Please contact us for more details. July 23, August 6.
Join our program for families of all ages! One Monday a month at 6:30 p.m., we’ll get together for some great crafts. On Monday, July 23 – We’re going to make a cloud id picture frame.
Wellness Yoga: Yoga Off the Mat
Learn soothing stretches that you can incorporate into your daily life in this gentle yoga series with Diane Bielecki, who graduated from the Cleveland Clinic School of Yoga. No mat is needed – stretches are done standing or in a chair. Please dress in comfortable clothing and arrive 5-10 minutes early so that class may begin on time. This class is limited to twenty participants, and registration is strongly suggested. Tuesdays, July 24; August 21, 28, 6:30 p.m.
Shopping at Stores (Couponing Pt. 2)
Dive into the world of coupons! During this class, blogger, Rachel Krych, dives deeper into the world of couponing. She’ll share tips on how to maximize your savings at specific stores as well as how to use money saving apps. Taking the first class, Couponing 101, is recommended but not mandatory. Paws for Reading
