Nordonia Knights Outdone By Twinsburg, 7-4

Nordonia Knights captured the lead in the first inning when Joey Derusso singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Twinsburg knotted the game up at two in the top of the second inning, when #24 singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.

Twinsburg took the lead for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third #16 singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run.

#19 was credited with the victory for Twinsburg. He lasted seven innings, allowing seven hits and four runs while striking out six.

Derusso took the loss for Nordonia Knights. He allowed nine hits and seven runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out four.

Nordonia Knights tallied seven hits. Nick Heiser and Brendan O’Donnell each managed multiple hits for Nordonia Knights. O’Donnell and Heiser each collected two hits to lead Nordonia Knights.

Twinsburg collected 11 hits. #22, #5, #16, and #24 all managed multiple hits for Twinsburg. #22 went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Twinsburg in hits. Twinsburg was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. #16 had the most chances in the field with seven.
