For those who attended the Nordonia -Wadsworth game Friday at Nordonia, they can’t say they didn’t get their money’s worth. The tenacious Nordonia squad needed two overtime periods, but subdued Wadsworth 89-86. Defense was just a memory in this game, as the Knights battled back from a halftime deficit of 41-29. The Knights outscored Wadsworth 33-21 in the second half to draw even at 62 all at the end of regulation time. The first overtime period was even as both squads scored 11 points to make the score 73 all. The Knights got the upper hand scoring 16 -13 in the second overtime to end the marathon with an 89-86 win, their seventh on the year. The leading scorer for the Knights was Julius Jones with 23 points, followed by Tye Evans with 19 points, Ryan Smith getting 18 points and Drew Petros contributing 14 points. The rest of the Knights scoring: Piotrowski-5 points, Levak-4 points, and Jordon Jones, Alders and Harp each chipping in with 2 points. The Knights will travel next Wednesday to play in the OHSAA Sectional Tournament at Cuyahoga Falls.
