Oat for Thought: Cleveland VegFest 2016

By Maria D’Aloiso

On May 7th I got to volunteer at the Cleveland VegFest presented by the Cleveland Vegan Society. The VegFest is a place to learn about the vegan lifestyle. From food vendors with delicious vegan cuisine to the cruelty-free marketplace for books, clothes, sanctuaries and much more. Throughout the day there were different activities for the whole family like yoga, food demos, educational films, music and multiple speakers.

It was so nice to be surrounded with people who share the same beliefs as you. If you were a vegetarian, like myself, they can give you tips and tricks to become fully vegan. Even if you have been a vegan for years, there is always so much more to learn about veganism from the speakers to the various vendors.

Thank you Cleveland Vegan Society for putting this event together!
