Poem “Is it that important to fit in?” By Autumn Gibson

By Autumn Gibson

Is it that important to fit in?
To not be different from your friends?
You pretend to be of lower intelligence
But they’ll still accept you if you don’t

Thy should not control your actions
Be your own person because you have the choice
Say what you want
Do what you want

Do not be tied down by the chains of society,
But rather be lifted up by the wings of expression

BIO: I grew up mainly in Ohio but, because of my father being in the military, we moved around a lot. I had a pretty rough life and dealt with a lot of things nobody should have to deal with. Now I live in Macedonia, living a much happier life. I go to Nordonia High School and have many close friends that I love being with.
