MENACING
Man threatens to shoot up and rob bank: Police were called to an East Aurora Road bank October 18, around 4:25 p.m. after a man threatened to “shoot up” and rob the bank. According to the police report a man and woman, who are both now banned from the bank, tried to cash a check at 3:42 p.m. The man was “impatient and irritable,” according to the bank manager. The man “leaned to the side lifting up his shirt while making mention of having a gun on his person and that he should shoot this place up and rob it,” according to the report. A teller refused to cash the check and asked the couple to leave. The couple started yelling at each and left. No gun was seen, according to the manager. The manager told police he will file trespassing charges against the couple if they enter the bank again. Police called the man and advised him the couple would be charged with trespassing if they enter the bank in the future.

THEFT
Man steals almost $1,000 from food suppliers: Police responded to an East Aurora Road food distributor October 24, shortly before 10 a.m. after an employee reported a man had been going to several food service locations and fraudulently identifying himself has a representative from various companies. The man entered the stores and claimed he was with a company and asked employees to charge that company for his large purchases, according to the report. On June 15, the man charged $598 on a business account and $345 on another. There is no video surveillance of the man, according to police. Police will pursue charges against the man if he is identified.

AGGRAVATED MENACING
Man arrested after flashing gun during alleged road rage: Macedonia Police were dispatched to meet with Twinsburg Police October 25, shortly before 2:30 p.m. at State Route 480, near Old Mill Road for a reported road rage incident which happened in Macedonia.

According to police, a semi-truck was traveling eastbound near the State Route 271 south exit when a road rage incident occurred with a white sedan. The driver of the white sedan [allegedly] brandished a gun and threatened the truck driver while they continued eastbound. The call was routed to Twinsburg Police as they continued driving. The truck driver was able to provide an Ohio license plate number on the sedan. Twinsburg Police located the suspect’s vehicle and initiated a traffic stop on State Route 480 east, near Old Mill Road.  The driver was found to be a CCW permit holder. Police also found a Smith and Wesson M&P handgun on the front seat with one bullet in the chamber, and six billets in the clip.

According to Twinsburg Police, the truck driver continued eastbound but provided his contact information to obtain a statement. The semi driver provided partial video footage of the incident. The man with the gun [allegedly] admitted to having road rage and “break-checking” the semi, according to police. The man told police he felt the semi driver was using the truck as a weapon. The man was arrested and charged with aggravated menacing, a first-degree misdemeanor.
