Prostitution and Human Trafficking Investigation Yields 12 arrests

The Summit County Sheriff’s Office has conducted numerous investigative operations in regards to possible prostitution and human trafficking in Summit County. These investigations have included undercover operations where individuals were contacted through websites which advertised sexual services.

On 9/23/2019, one of these operations was conducted at an undisclosed hotel in Summit County. This operation was conducted in collaboration with the Copley Police Department and the Cuyahoga Regional Human Trafficking Task Force. The operation yielded 12 arrests of individuals from throughout northeast Ohio. Some of the charges included Soliciting (M-3), Possession of Methamphetamines (F-5), and Promoting Prostitution (F-4). The Sheriff’s Office will continue to collaborate with other agencies to investigate prostitution and human trafficking in Summit County.
