Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Announces Last Chance to See Two Blockbuster Exhibits

CLEVELAND (August 19, 2019) – Calling all pinball wizards: in honor of the interactive exhibit’s final days, The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is setting all machines in the Part of the Machine: Rock & Pinball exhibit to free play from now until the official end date on September 4th. Don’t miss your chance to show off your pinball skills on rock-centric machines featuring legends such as Alice Cooper, Elton John, and Dolly Parton.

Also coming to a close is the multi-floor exhibition, Stay Tuned: Rock On TV, on display on Levels 4, 5, and 6 until September 9th. It’s the last chance for visitors to view artifacts including Paul Shaffer’s keyboard used on the Late Show with David Letterman, stage designs from the Beatles’ appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show, and contracts between artists and American Bandstand, while exploring the relationship between rock and television.

In November, the upper temporary exhibition levels of the Rock Hall will reopen with Play It Loud, an exhibition co-organized with the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Many of rock’s most celebrated and recognized instruments will be featured, representing artists across generations and subgenres.

Last week marked the 50th anniversary of the iconic three-day festival, but the celebration continues at the Rock Hall with Woodstock at 50. The Museum will be extending this special exhibit (complete with John Sebastian’s performance outfit from his unscheduled appearance and Jimi Hendrix’s guitar strap used during his mesmerizing rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner”) through 2019.
