Spring Break Coming to a Close

Another Spring Break is coming to a close for many area students. Some students have been working all break, while others are catching up on their sleep. Many students may have taken the typical spring break vacation down south while others are enjoying their spring break in Europe with some of their teachers. With spring sports starting up many students are going to practice and playing opposing schools this break.

With basketball coming to a close and trying to get those last few games is hard enough between school and homework. I know for a fact that a few Nordonia students, Gurdeep, Stefan, Nevan, Gino, Austin, Harman, Josh and Tim have been going at it full tilt this break getting in those final basketball games before they return to school on Monday.

The weather has not been the greatest this break for playing outside but these guys will not bow down to this rainy cold weather of late. Who can resist a little lightning with your friends and then follow it up with some 3 on 3 games. Who says you have to watch the Final Four games this weekend when you have some great games in your own front yard.

Just like in college and professional you have some teams that have you in height while other teams are short and fast. This was the case with Tall Team made up of Gurdeep, Stefan and Nevan. Stefan standing at 6’4” towered over the opposing team – Short Team. Short Team was made up of Gino, Austin and Harman where Austin and Harman came in at 5’9” while Gino stood 6’2”.

Today Short Team stood their ground but still were no match for the taller Tall Team. At the end of the day, everyone left a little sweaty and sore, but overall it was a good day for basketball. Tomorrow will be another day and maybe another game before it’s time to return to school.

Here’s a few pictures from the day’s events.
