Two Pitchers Team Up As Nordonia Knights Shuts Out Trinity

Nordonia Knights defeated Trinity 11-0 on Wednesday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Tony Mellone induced a double-play from #2 to finish off the game.
Nordonia Knights got things started in the first inning. Robby Levak singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

A single by #31 in the first inning was a positive for Trinity.
Nick Heiser earned the win for Nordonia Knights. He surrendered zero runs on two hits over four innings, striking out six. Mellone threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
#2 took the loss for Trinity. He went one and two-thirds innings, allowing eight runs on seven hits and striking out one.

Nordonia Knights collected 12 hits. Mike Hamrick, Joey Derusso, Levak, Vince Varner, and Brendan O’Donnell all had multiple hits for Nordonia Knights. O’Donnell, Varner, Levak, Derusso, and Hamrick each collected two hits to lead Nordonia Knights.
#31 went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Trinity in hits.
