The Rocksino wants to do more than just honor veterans, active duty and their spouses this upcoming Veteran’s Day; they want to feed them and help them seek employment. On Thursday, November 9, 2017, from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m., the Rocksino will host a job fair that gives the above group the chance to seek employment opportunities. While this event is open to the public, it is the veterans, active duty and their spouses that will be considered first during networking and job opportunities. As with all job fairs, any employment offers will proceed upon the passage of a background check, drug test, and completed employment application.
Just around the corner from the job fair is Veterans Day – November 11, 2017. Veterans and military personnel will enjoy a free buffet at the Rocksino from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. on this special day. Just make sure you make the line by 2 p.m. and have your military ID on hand! After you feast at the buffet, feel free to head to Rock Shop for a 15% discount on all merchandise from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m.. Talk about a Veteran’s Day treat – free food and gift item discounts!
Hard Rock Rocksino Public Relations Manager Vivian Davis explains that this job fair is like no other because it is the first of its kind. “This is the Rocksino’s first Veterans Day job fair, giving special consideration to veterans and active duty military personnel and their spouses,” says Davis.
The initial job fair will offer an array of available positions: chefs, security officers, Players Club representatives, cashiers, servers, and valet attendants to name a few. All positions must be applied for online before the job fair begins.
The Rocksino’s Human Resources Director Donald Frey confirms why the Rocksino is putting the employment needs of veterans, military personnel, and their spouses first. “Hard Rock Rocksino Northfield Park understands the importance of honoring and supporting veterans, members of the Guard, Reserves and their dedicated spouses in the workplace,” says Frey.
As we all know, jobs can be tough to find and the hiring process can be daunting. But keep in mind, the Rocksino strives to hire a moderate amount of professionals. Frey adds, “The Rocksino typically hires between 20 and 30 people from the job fairs they hold.”
So come give it your best shot, you may be able to start the upcoming new year off early and with a-rockin’ new job at Hard Rock Rocksino Northfield Park. You can rock your red, white and blue, too, as long as it looks your best on you, you know – business-attire!
