The Macedonia City Planning Commission reviewed Monday initial plans for Petros Homes of Broadview Height to build 80 plus units (cluster) on forty acres of land currently owned by Faith Fellowship Church. The property, zoned R-1, located off Valley View Road, would require a conditional use permit for a planned unit development. The R-1 zone classification requires that homes be built on 1/2 acres lots. Under planned unit development guidelines, homes could be built on smaller lots, as long as green space is provided on the property. The sale of the parcel from the church to Petros Homes is based on the ability to garner the cities permission to utilize the conditional use label to the project. The development to be called The Reserves at Northwood’s, held their first public hearing last night, November 21st. This was a preliminary public hearing, with at least one additional hearing likely to occur before Council grants their approval at a future meeting. Many additional details need to be addressed and finalized by the Planning Commission.
