The Nordonia Knights have had a rough season this year. However, after defeating Brecksville last week, the Knights wanted to continue their winning ways on Senior Night at Boliantz Stadium. The result was a thrilling 49-34 victory over Cuyahoga Falls. If you liked offense, you were at the right game. Senior Tye Evans, playing his last game at Nordonia, went out with a bang! He scored on a 75 yard touchdown pass from Robby Levak, and followed that up with a 90 yard kick off return for a touchdown. Evans finished the night with 4 catches-111 yards and the touchdown. The Knights scored 21 unanswered points to lead 35-20, and they held off Cuyahoga Falls the duration of the game. Quarterback Robby LeVak had another stellar game, passing for 264 yards on 16-21 passing, as well as a rushing touchdown. Justin Bell put the game out of reach, scoring on a 41 yard touchdown run. Sam Hopes joined the rushing touchdown club as well.
It was a well deserved win for a group of young men who have had to play one of the toughest schedules in the region this year. The senior members of the team will remember this win especially! The Knights, now 2-6, travel to North Royalton next Friday night. The Knights final game is in two weeks at rival Twinsburg.
