Wadsworth traveled to Boliantz stadium Friday night with hopes to remain undefeated. The Knights had hopes to win their first game of the year. The end result was Wadsworth went home afterwards at 4-0. The Knights remain winless. The game had a very familiar pattern of how the season has gone for Nordonia. Wadsworth jumped out to a quick 14-0 lead in the first quarter. After a 40 yard TD run by Tye Evans, the Knights closed the gap to 27-22 at halftime. As has been the case all year, the Knights defense faltered in the second half, with Wadsworth scoring 23 unanswered points in the third quarter to seal the victory. The score was 57-29 with 8:35 in the fourth quarter, which was also the final score. Nordonia has played catch up in the first half, only to get blown out in the second half by mistakes and defensive breakdowns. The winless Knights road for their first win doesn’t get easier next week as they travel to the #9 ranked (in the PD poll) Hudson.
