There were two near-death situations Wednesday, July 4th at the Sunset Motel. The first occurred when a male tried to commit suicide by slashing his wrists. After losing a great deal of blood, he was transported to a local hospital, and apparently survived the attempted suicide.
The second incident was a drug overdose that occurred about 11:30 pm. The Northfield Village Police, the first on the scene, saved the individuals life by administering two dosages of Narcan. The Macedonia Fire Department called for mutual aid, transported the patient to a local hospital, where he signed himself out. Thanks to the Northfield Village Police for the usage of the Narcan, and saving someone’s life!
