The highlight of the meeting was when the University Hospitals Bedford Medical Center donated 4 AED units to the Village of Northfield
According to Captain Joe Zemek: “These will be utilized in our police cruisers. Often our police officers are first to arrive to medical calls while out on patrol. The faster we can get our patients electrical intervention during cardiac arrest the higher the chance of survival. These AEDs will truly save lives.”
