Weinstein to lead House Democrats on Armed Services & Veterans Affairs Committee

COLUMBUS – State Representative Casey Weinstein (D-Hudson) Friday was named Ranking Member of the House Armed Services & Veterans Affairs Committee, the highest-ranking Democrat on the panel.

“I am honored to serve as the Ranking Member of the Armed Services & Veterans Affairs Committee,” said Weinstein. “It was my service in the United States Air Force that first brought me to Ohio, and I eagerly await the opportunity to work in a bipartisan fashion with Chair Perales and Vice Chair Hood to honor our promise to Ohio veterans and their families.”

A former Captain in the Air Force and Hudson City Councilman, Rep. Weinstein was also chosen to serve on House Agriculture & Rural Development and Energy & Natural Resources Committees.

Committee meetings are open to the public and held any time before or after House floor sessions.
