Nordonia’s 2023 11th Annual Summer Drama Camp Offered for Students Going Entering Grades 2-9 in Fall 2023.
Nordonia High School Drama students will be counselors for this summer’s drama camp for students entering grades 2-9 in the fall of 2023. Students enrolled will work with this year’s high school musical cast of The Little Mermaid, whom will help run different aspects of the camp such as tech, costumes, choreography, and more. Summer camp participants will produce a fully staged production in just two weeks, while making new friends and having fun. The summer camp series has been a favorite, having begun eleven years ago and fills up quickly every year.
The High School Musical Jr. will be June 12-24, 2023 features a budding relationship between a high school jock and a nerdy beauty who meet on a family vacation, noticing one another while singing karaoke. Another character tries to squash their chances of becoming an item.
School House Rock Live Jr. will be July 17-29, 2023, a fast-paced musical based on the once popular 1970s cartoons with catchy tunes such as “Conjunction Junction” and Lolly, Lolly, Lolly”. The musical is about a nervous, young teacher, who is greeted by various characters representing different facets of his personality, helping him plan for his first day of school.
The summer camp is offered for students in grades 2-9, cost is $300 for one camp, and 500 for both summer camps. here is a breakdown of what is included in the packet.
The deadline to enroll is one week before camp starts, if there are slots available. Sign up early, spots fill up fast. No before or after care will be provided. A waitlist has begun for the June camp, as there are limited spots left open. Camps max out at 40 campers for each of the two camps provided. Any current Drama student who wishes to help with camp is welcome.
