2022 Ohio Attorney General’s Two Days in May Conference “A Celebration of Resiliency”

(COLUMBUS, Ohio) – The 2022 Two Days in May conference (TDIM) for crime victim advocates returns to an in-person gathering after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event, celebrating its 30th edition, is organized by the Crime Victim Services section of the Ohio Attorney General’s Office.

WHO: Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost, keynote speakers from the U.S. Center for SafeSport, expert presenters from around Ohio.

WHAT: This year’s conference will focus on sexual abuse in sports and the response to the 2019 mass shooting in Dayton’s Oregon District. Highlights will include:

  • Opening remarks by Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost
  • U.S. Center for SafeSport: Collaboration to Prevent and Respond to Abuse, featuring keynote speakers Ju’ Riese Colon and Katie Hanna
  • Community Collaboration at Its Best: A Response to the Oregon District Crisis, featuring speakers Sandy Hunt from the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office, Stephen Massey from CitiLookout Trauma Recovery Center in Springfield, and Bonnie Parish from Family Services of Dayton
  • Thirty break-out workshops
  • Awards banquet to honor 2022’s best in field for Special Achievement, Promising Practice, Special Courage, and the Attorney General’s AGvocate award.

WHEN: Mon., May 9th beginning with AG Yost’s opening remarks at 9:00 a.m., concluding at 5:00 p.m., and Tues., May 10th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
