ENGINEER’S REPORT – RICHARD S. WASOSKY, P.E., P.S.  March 11, 2020

Subject: Houghton Road Reconstruction and S.R. 8 Traffic Signals Improvements Project
Comment: The traffic signal installation at S.R. 8 and the Fire Station Drive is installed except for the detector camera for the driveway. As soon as the camera is installed we will remove the old span wire signal installation. We are also still waiting for the contractor to install the overhead mounted street signs on the signal mast arms at Maple Avenue and Houghton Road.
In February, I had to send significantly more paperwork to the NEORSD in order for them to process our grant for $106,510.00. This week they asked for more information. I will discuss this item with NEORSD tomorrow at the stormwater meeting we are having in Sagamore Hills.

Subject: Dollar General Final Plans
Comment: The Village Zoning Certificate was issued for the Dollar General construction. They are in the process of getting their Building Permits from Summit County. Construction should begin in April and be completed in June.

Subject: Consolidation Plat for the Dollar General sublots between Kennedy Blvd. and Lowrie Blvd.
Comment: I reviewed the Consolidation Plat and recommend approval of the Plat and legal description. A Planning Commission Meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at 7:30 P.M. to approve the Plat.

Subject: 2019 MS4 Stormwater Report
Comment: The mandatory 2019 Annual MS4 Stormwater Report is being completed and will be sent to Summit County late this Friday.

Subject: Tree Planting
Comment: The tree planting at Lawrence School in Sagamore Hills that was scheduled for today was cancelled yesterday due to the Coronavirus concerns. The Service Department was to help in the planting. We would have received credit for the 2020 MS4 Stormwater program for participation in this event.
