Obituary: SANDRA LEE FLAUTO (nee Struhar)

Sandra Lee Flauto (nee Struhar), Age 72, of Sagamore Hills, OH, passed away on July 4, 2017 peacefully with her husband and children by her side.  Sandy was the loving daughter to the late John and Theresa Struhar, born April 25, 1945.  Sandy is survived by her beloved husband of 33 years Joseph J. Flauto, loving son Mark D. Overlow (Ann), and devoted daughter Kelly A. Chessar (Bob), the loves of her life, her grandchildren, Nathan M. Overlow, Brenna T. Chessar and Jae R. Overlow.  She also leaves behind her dear brother Dale J. Struhar (Vickie) and sister Marie E. Whitbey, along with many other dear family members and friends.  Sandy is preceded in death by her parents John and Theresa Struhar, her brother-in-law Dale Norris, sister-in-law Brenda Struhar, her grandsons Christian and Johnathon Overlow, and her loving and faithful side kick Teddi.  Sandy graduated from Bedford High School.  She worked as a deli manager, owned her own cleaning business and ultimately obtained her real estate license and excelled an an agent for Realty One.  Feisty and strong are two words to describe Sandy until the very end.  Her life was devoted to her children and grandchildren.  Sandy was an excellent cook and thoroughly enjoyed making meals for her family and friends.  Her “baby” Teddi was her special companion and one of the true loves of her life.  Sandy had a special place in her heart for animals, especially dogs, and regularly donated items to her local animal shelter.  She taught us all many lessons about strength, love, and the importance of family.  In her last days she said to Mark, her son, “Be Good.  Be Kind. Be Love.”  That is Sandy.  Her family suggests memorial contributions in her name to the Humane Society of Summit County, 7996 Darrow Road, Twinsburg, OH 44087.  Friends may call at the Ferfolia Funeral Home, 356 West Aurora Rd (OH Rt 82), Sagamore Hills, for Visitation on Friday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM.  A Service to celebrate Sandy’s Life will take place on Saturday at 11:00 AM with a luncheon immediately following.
