UPDATE: Construction on Forbes Road is to begin on Monday, July 20, 2020. Any issues with the construction project should be directed to the City of Bedford. This project will take approximately 4 weeks to complete. (weather permitting)
The City of Bedford will be making pavement repairs and resurfacing the westbound lane of FORBES ROAD, between Broadway Avenue and Northfield Road, in mid to late July of 2020.
THE POSTED DETOUR FOR WESTBOUND TRAFFIC WILL BEGIN AT THE INTERSECTION OF FORBES ROAD AND BROADWAY AVENUE. WESTBOUND VEHICLES WILL BE ROUTED TO THE INTERSECTION OF NORTHFIELD ROAD AND FORBES ROAD VIA BROADWAY AVENUE, UNION STREET, AND NORTHFIELD ROAD AS SHOWN ON THE MAP BELOW. EASTBOUND FORBES ROAD TRAFFIC WILL BE MAINTAINED AT ALL TIMES.
The exact start date and duration of the closure of construction period will be announced by the City of Bedford prior to the start of construction. Message boards will also be posted on site notifying motorists of the closure prior to construction.
