It’s officially that time of year! You’ve strung up lights outside your house. You’ve placed poinsettias along the fireplace mantle, and you’ve  topped everything off with putting a topper on your tree on Thanksgiving Day. It’s December 1st You’re officially out of excuses on why you won’t wear the matching ugly Christmas sweater your S/O purchased for you, turning off Jingle Bells because Thanksgiving hasn’t even happened yet, and you’re officially out of excuses to skip your families holiday card photo rehearsal. Stop being a grinch and get into the holiday spirit by watching these with these Christmas Films. In no particular order, here are my top 5 Christmas films/series. You can catch any of these films on Amazon Prime , ABC, or Freeform

  1. Home Alone and Home Alone 2:Lost In New York are the best Christmas film series off all time. Macaulay Culkin’s constant shenanigans, his signature “I’m in trouble face”, and his knack for outsmarting adults earns both of these films high ratings each year. I constantly wonder to this day what his parents did to afford that insane mortgage with all those kids 🤔.
  2. I always start my Christmas movie binging with Its A Wonderful Life. It’s the first “grown up” Christmas film I watched. I didn’t appreciate the movie at first. I would always fall asleep or wonder off in the other room, but, as I got older, I began to appreciate the artistry of the 1947 classic. The acting and script are impeccable and the film teaches lessons you will appreciate for the rest of your life.
  3. Who doesn’t love Charlie Brown? Most are very familiar with A Charlie Brown Christmas. I watched this every year with my elementary school classmates and thought it was the most boring thing on earth! The older I got, the more I appreciated it!
  4. The Best Man Holiday is in my top 3 of favorite holiday movies. If you can stream a movie you saw with your ex multiple times in a day every year, you know it’s a good movie. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll watch it multiple days in a row.
  5. These 7 Rankin Bass claymation classics: Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer, Santa Claus Is Coming To Town, A Year Without A Santa Claus, Rudolph’s Shiny New Year, Jack Frost, Nestor The Long Eared Christmas Donkey, and Rudolph’s and Frosty’s  Christmas in July. What’s Christmas without the classic clay nation movies? I save these specifically for Christmas Day. Nothing is more comforting than eating baked treats under a heated blanket mixing Baileys in hot chocolate with these on repeat all day.
