Edward Kaiser. “A Class Act”, “They don’t make them like that anymore”, “someone who always made you feel welcome and part of his family”, are just some of the praises received from family and friends on the passing of Edward Kaiser, 82, of Hudson, Ohio and Bonita Springs, Florida on March 4th. Ed was born July 21, 1938 in Cleveland, Ohio to Ruth (nee O’Neill) and Fred Kaiser, joining siblings Karl (deceased), Katie Burgess (deceased) (Don deceased), Ken (deceased) and Carol, and Sue Sheridan (Pat). After attending St. Tim’s Grade School in Garfield Heights, he went on to attend both Benedictine and John Adams High Schools. Following an enlistment in the U.S. Army, Ed returned to Cleveland and married the love of his life, Dolores (nee Nehez) and raise three children, Kelly (deceased), Ed (Joyce) and Paul (Lariza). After having taken a position with the Air Maze Corporation of Bedford Heights, Ed also obtained an engineering degree from Cleveland State University. In 1983, Ed and Dee started their own company, Keltec, named after their lost daughter, which prospered beyond what he thought possible. After retiring from the business, Ed and Dee enjoyed travel to numerous locations around the US and world, and spending truly joyful time with family and friends in both Ohio and Florida. Adding to his joy was becoming a doting grandfather “papa” and dear friend to his seven grandchildren, Alanna, Olivia, Eddie, Dylan, Nick, Alex and Liam. Ed was rarely seen without a genuine smile on his face and a warm greeting to all that he came across. Family suggests memorial donations be made in Edward’s name to the Hospice of the Western Reserve. https://p2p.onecause.com/hwr/donate.
