Obituary: Collin Trail

On November 5, 1991 Linda Kimbell and Don Trail provided the world with an angel.

Collin Trail lived a life of kindness, with a wealth of love. He had a penchant for making those closest to him feel like one-in-a-million. He was somebody that everybody would pick for a friend. Collin was a very special man that will be very missed by all of the people he touched in his short but powerful life.

He was a loving brother to his siblings. As a big brother, he and Jack learned how to fish together in their own backyard, that developed into their avid love of the outdoors. As a little brother, he was a confidant and best friend for Lindsey. They always knew their brother would be there as a shoulder to cry on and someone to laugh with.

As a kid, Collin loved to play all sports, especially baseball. He was always outside, even after the streetlights came on he was building forts and spending time with many friends. Being a rambunctious child with infectious energy, Collin cultivated a large group of friends that he treated like family. He spent many nights around a bonfire having soulful conversations with those friends and family. Collin always exhibited many admirable heartfelt behaviors, even as a child. Collin was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off of his back and show you how to get one of your own. He was always looking to share his knowledge and help with others. Even if it meant being up at 2am playing monopoly with his Grandma.

Collin always liked to fix things. As a kid, he repaired a lawnmower he found in the trash on one of the many trash night rounds in the minivan with the boys. His mechanical inclination led to a vocational program in High-School which he graduated from in 2010. Leading him to a career as a HVAC technician and maintenance.

Creativity also came naturally to Collin which led an interest in music. After his Father bought him his first guitar Collin was given a musical appetite which continued into his adult life. Collin always enjoyed entertaining others and music gave him a platform to do that while expressing himself.

Collin Trail spent his time around the people he loved enjoying his time to the fullest.  Fishing constantly, outdoor adventures, frying chicken, watching sports, traveling and surrounding himself with any enjoyment he could find. He was an outstanding son, brother, cousin, friend, nephew and uncle who showed immense generosity to the people he loved. He was magnanimous force and exuded altruism in all of his actions. Collin was truly one of the best people to be around.

In his early adult life Collin was diagnosed with cancer which was the beginning of a long hard road he never gave up on, he knew God was always with him. He truly loved the Lord and was never afraid because he knew Jesus was in his heart, even as a child Collin professed his faith.

After experiencing some of the darkest moments of his life, the world gifted Collin the love of his life. Collin found his wife-to-be Jessica Mihok and their relationship quickly blossomed into unmatched commitment. The two became an inseparable pair that were rarely seen apart. The overwhelming love they had filled Collin with palpable inspiration, invigoration and newfound purpose.

Collin Drew Trail came to an untimely passing due to complications from his battle with cancer.
