As of 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 12, Summit County’s offices located at 1040 and 1030 East Tallmadge Ave. are without power due to a transformer issue. Power is not expected to be restored until Friday, August 13. Due to the power outage, these offices are physically closed, however, staff is working remotely. Efforts are underway to forward phone service, but may be limited to one line per office. Customers are encouraged to be patient and to visit https://co.summitoh.net/ to access available online services.
Department of Building Standards inspections scheduled for today and tomorrow will occur regardless of power status. Customers in need of Building Standards services should visit https://co.summitoh.net/departments/Building-Standards.html to utilize online inspection submissions and applications. Customers may also contact Building Standards at 330-630-7280.
