Summit County Sheriff’s Office PRESS RELEASE Shooting in Northfield Center Township

Sheriff Kandy Fatheree is seeking information regarding a recent shooting that took place in Northfield Center Township. On October 20, 2021, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Summit County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a shooting that occurred in the parking lot of the Panera Bread located on Golden Link Boulevard in Northfield Center Township. Investigators determined that a 20 year old male was involved in an argument with a female in the parking lot when the male was approached by another male who was brandishing a handgun. The two males got involved in a physical altercation and the 20 year old male was shot multiple times by the suspect. The victim was transported to a Cleveland Metro Health Hospital by the Macedonia Fire Department. The unidentified suspect fled the scene in a dark-colored vehicle.
