Possible Suspects Arrested in Macedonia Commons Armed Bank Robbery

“There are two suspects that have been arrested by another jurisdiction in connection with their bank robbery and we believe the suspects may be our suspects as well,” according to Macedonia Police Detective Sgt. Aaron Clelland.

While the Macedonia robbery is still under a multi-jurisdictional investigation, which includes agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Clelland gave no details on the alleged robbers arrested in contention with the bank robbery.

According to police there were no injuries on June 14, after two men entered the bank around 11:40 a.m. pulled a gun, threatened a teller, and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The men entered the bank quickly and approached each teller and demanded money,

During the robbery one man allegedly pointed a “gray metallic handgun” at a teller’s face and threatened “something along the lines of ‘I’ll shoot your bitch ass bruh,” according to the report.

The man with the gun became agitated after the teller gave the man all the money and told him there was no more money in the drawer, according to the report.

The other man allegedly handed a teller a note which read “we are robbing you put the $$ in the bag.” The suspect also handed the teller a gray, plastic, grocery bag, according to police.

The men exited the bank with the note, foil, and a piece of paper. They climbed into a black Toyota Camry which did not have a license plate, according to police. The car turned right onto Route 82.

Police searched the area immediately after the robbery but did not see a car matching the description.

The men were described as black, thin, one very tall, wearing hoodies, sunglasses, gloves, and surgical masks. One of the men wore clear gloves, according to police.
