SUMMIT COUNTY, OHIO—In celebration of St. Patrick’s Day on March 17 and National Puppy Day on March 23, County Executive Ilene Shapiro is announcing the Help a Puppy Get Lucky Adoption Event, encouraging residents to consider adopting a dog or cat. After all, there is no better way to enjoy the spring weather than with a furry friend! During the Help a Puppy Get Lucky Event, adoption costs will be reduced to $28 for dogs (regularly $94) and $10 for cats (regularly $60) from Monday, March 13 till Friday, March 31. The animals will be fully vetted (bloodwork, flea treatments, intestinal de-worming, spay/neuter, and vaccinations) and ready to be taken home. Those who adopt a dog will receive a 2023 Summit County Dog License included in the adoption cost.
Animal Control is open 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and by appointment on Saturdays.
