County Executive Shapiro Named Executive of the Year by NSME

SUMMIT COUNTY, OHIO—Last night, Summit County Executive Ilene Shapiro received the Executive of the Year award at the 52nd Annual Accent on Excellence Event hosted by the National Sales and Marketing Executives (NSME). 

“Thank you to the NSME team for putting together this wonderful event and recognizing the work done by so many in our community. I am honored to be named a recipient and am so proud of the team I lead. Together, we have accomplished so much and truly made a difference in the lives of Summit County residents.” 

NSME also honored Kemp Boyd, Director of Love Akron, with the Outstanding Community Leader Award, Lauren Redhead, a University of Akron student, with the Exceptional Sales and Marketing Collegiate Award, and several local professionals with Achievements in Excellence Awards. 

NSME is a professional association that provides educational and networking opportunities for sales and marketing leaders in the greater Akron/Canton region. NSME has held an annual awards gala to honor the “best of the best” sales and marketing professionals since 1972.
