FIRST HALF 2025 MANUFACTURED HOME TAX BILLS IN THE MAIL, DUE MARCH 1, 2025

Akron, Ohio — Summit County Fiscal Officer Kristen M. Scalise CPA, CFE, has announced that  first half 2025 manufactured home tax bills were mailed Monday, February 3, 2025. If you have  any questions, please call (330) 630-7226 or (330) 630-7225.

The closing date for payment is Saturday, March 1, 2025, with the exception of military  personnel. Property taxes are deferred for military reservists who are on active duty.  Applications can be obtained by calling (330) 630-7226 or visiting our website at  http://fiscaloffice.summitoh.net.

There are several convenient ways for property owners to make payment.

  1. By mail: Mailed payments must be U.S. postmarked by March 1, 2025, to avoid the  statutory 10% penalty for late payment. A private meter is not valid for establishing the  date of payment.
  2. Drop Box Location: Taxpayers can submit tax payments by using the drop box located at  the Summit County Fiscal Office Services Department located at 1030 E. Tallmadge Ave.,  Akron, Ohio 44310 during regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 7:30  a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Any payment made through the drop box that creates an overage will  be applied to the next tax bill.

The Fiscal Office continues to offer various programs to assist homeowners with delinquent  taxes. If you have fallen behind, please call our office for more information at (330) 630-7226.

Taxpayers who do not agree with the valuation of their manufactured home can file a complaint  with the Board of Revision. Complaint forms (DTE 1M) are required to be signed, dated, and  notarized. Submissions are accepted from January 1, 2025, through March 31, 2025. Complaint  forms can be mailed to the Summit County Fiscal Office Board of Revision at 1180 S. Main St.,  Suite 250 Akron, Ohio 44301. Submissions are required by law to be postmarked on or before  Monday, March 31, 2025. You can obtain a complaint form (DTE 1M) by calling (330) 630-7226  or (330) 630-7225.
