The Twinsburg Board of Education held their regular meeting on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at the Twinsburg Government Center. The meeting saw significant attendance from families and community members as students were recognized for academic achievement and a new middle school principal was appointed.

Key Highlights

The major announcement of the evening was the appointment of Ryan Beaumont as the new principal of R.B. Chamberlain Middle School. Beaumont, a 2003 Twinsburg High School graduate, will officially begin his duties on August 1, 2025. He currently serves as assistant principal at Harmon Middle School in Aurora and previously worked as an assistant principal at Shaker Middle School and in Maryland schools.

In his acceptance speech, Beaumont expressed deep appreciation for returning to his hometown district, saying, “Twinsburg is a part of who I am… This is a dream come true.” He lives in Twinsburg with his wife Katie and their two children who attend Dodge Elementary.

Student Recognition

Students from Samuel Bissell Elementary School and R.B. Chamberlain Middle School were recognized as Students of the Month. Thirteen second-graders and thirteen third-graders from Bissell Elementary received certificates for their positive attitudes, academic engagement, and kindness toward peers. R.B. Chamberlain Middle School honored four seventh-grade and four eighth-grade students who demonstrated respect, academic enthusiasm, leadership, and responsibility.

Tiger Legacy Project

Board President Crawford and Superintendent Powers provided updates on the Tiger Legacy Project, which includes plans for a new PreK-6 elementary school to replace three aging buildings. The proposal includes constructing a centrally-located school designed with separate “houses” for different grade levels. The project also includes renovations to athletic facilities.

Two community meetings are scheduled for Tuesday, April 22nd – one at 9:30 a.m. at the Community Center and another at 6:30 p.m. at the high school. Community members are also invited to tour Brecksville-Broadview Heights Elementary School on Thursday, April 17th, to see a similar building design.
